The new LG eXpo comes to the market running under Microsoft’sWindows Mobile 6.5 Professional operating system, delivering popular features and apps to users, including Microsoft Office Mobile. Intel's Atom N450 and 1.86GHz N470
The new Atom N450 is due out on January 3, 2010, just days away from the debut of the upcoming CES 2010 consumer electronics show, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The new solution packs the CPU core, memory controller and graphics on the same chip, enabling PC vendors to create new netbooks with lower power requirements. The processor will be clocked at 1.66GHz, the same as the current N280 model, but will provide a slight boost in performance, compared to the original Atom N270 available on the majority of today’s netbooks. The N470, featuring a core speed of 1.86GHz and said to be scheduled for release sometime in March. Also designed for netbook systems, the new Atom N470 will sport the same 512KB cache size and will fit the same FCBGA8 socket. Intel also aims to provide its customers with an updated line of nettop or desktop Atom processors, including a new dual-core and single-core model, due out in the first days of January, the report claims. the new N450 is expected to become available for US$64 at launch, a US$20 increase over the current N270. The N470 will be available for a slightly increased price tag of US$75 when it will come out in March.
Compaq-CQ61
An affordable, full-fledged laptop comes with internal hardware that can deliver a basic computing experience. With that in mind, the CQ61 packs a 15.6-inch display and is powered by a low-power AMD Sempron M100 processor, clocked at a factory-set frequency of 2GHz. In the graphics department, the laptop comes with the ATI Radeon HD 4200 graphics chip, while 2GB of RAM and a 160GB hard drive are there to provide the aforementioned basic computing experience you can expect from the new Compaq machine. Designed as an alternative for users on a strict budget, who also want to take advantage of the features that are enabled by the 15.6-inch laptop, the CQ61 is featured with Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system. There’s also a 6-cell battery pack, but the PC vendor is yet to announce any details regarding the laptop’s expected runtime. It will cost you a price tag of just US$399. The PC vendor is also offering a GQ4010 slim desktop that comes with a more affordable US$310 price point.

The Wireless carrier O2 will launch the Sony Ericsson Naite. The new mobile phone has been made out of recycled and recyclable plastics, and also features a low power consumption charger. Moreover, it sports reduced packaging and an e-manual, in a move aimed at considerably reducing the CO2 emissions from transportation and paper usage (by 90 percent for the latter). Acer will join the competition,four Windows Mobile 6.5-powered handsets. Online retailers in the Netherlands already enable mobile phone users in the country to place orders for the HTC Leo in advance, WMPoweruser notes, and a price tag for the device is also listed. Thus, one can see the upcoming Windows phone available for 522 Euros including VAT (US$770) on Phoneshop.nl, or priced at 592 Euros including VAT (US$870) on 2call.nl. As for the availability date, both sites list a Q4 time frame. While this proves helpful only when it comes to the pricing of HTC Leo, which seems to be in line with the previously rumored $800 price tag for the US market, we’ll head to other rumors for a few more details on the launch date. A recent post on Engadget suggests that the 1GHx Snapdragon-powered handset is expected to land on O2’s airwaves as soon as October 12, only about two weeks from now.
