Acer has also announced the development of an Aspire model called the 5738DG, which is touted as being the company’s first 3D notebook. Of course, one will need special glasses in order to enjoy 3D content on this notebook’s display, but that’s just a minor inconvenient. This ia all about its special software, used in conjunction with a proprietary 3D coating on the screen and polarized passive glasses. In other words, not nearly as advanced as NVIDIA’s 3D vision solution. Acer only underlining the fact that the device features Intel Centrino 2 processor technology, up to 4GB memory and third generation Dolby Home Theatre, which will effectively turn this thing into a portable, 3D-enabled home cinema setup. The Asus company has announced the launch of its UnLimited Series (UL) of notebooks in the UK. The ultraportable 13.3-inch UL30 model, users will be able to take advantage of Intel’s CULV platform inside a lightweight design that offers a range of features, including the much-anticipated Windows 7 operating system. In addition, all three notebooks, including the 15.6-inch UL50AG and UL50VG, have been featured with a brushed aluminum chassis and Altec Lansing speakers. The three include a multitouch trackpad, webcam and up to 500GB of storage space. The Nokia Booklet 3G Netbook wil be out in Europe on two weeks…The first customers that will be able to get their hands onto the fresh netbook will be the German subscribers to O2, who, starting with October 22, will be able to get the device for €249 upfront and then €20 per month over 24 months. The Nokia Booklet 3G will have Intel Atom Z530, 1.6 GHz CPU, Intel Poulsbo US15W chipset with a fanless design, as well as 1 GB of DDR2, 533 Mhz, soldered down RAM memory. The Intel company are planning to put dual-core processors for Ultra-Thin Notebooks…The world’s leading chip maker will roll out the Core 2 Solo SU3000 series, replacing it with the new Core 2 Duo SU7000 series. At the same time the Pentium SU2000 and a single-core Celeron model will be replaced by the Core 2 Duo SU4000 and the Dual-Core SU3000, respectively. The sources also indicate that Intel will keep its Celeron 700, at least until the end of the Q4 period. Chipzilla will also maintain its current Core 2 Duo SU9000…Intel is also expected to update its line of netbook chips, as the company is preparing to debut its next-generation Pine Trail-M platform, due out in December.
