Cabinet sized, the VP-P450 will provide an easy and integrated solution for ePassports, which meets the requirements of central passport printing offices, but in a size that makes it fit for installation in consulates. It generates a series of processes that include feeding blank passports into the printer, lamination, encoding of IC-chips with the passport holder’s biometric data and confirmation of encoded IC data – all of which the VP-P450 is capable of doing without the need of any operating staff. Nice one Toshiba targeting international market…The advanced printing engine and consumables produce high-resolution and durable passports, while the proprietary printing technology prevents the various ways of counterfeiting. The VP-P450 can be customized to meet the exact customer requests, including personal data and hologram designs, and it is also ICAO Doc 9303 compliant.
